Jon Booth (piano and organ)
For many years, Jon balanced music with work as a senior civil servant on tackling discrimination, addressing climate change and reform to the justice system, including working for the Prime Minister in 2005. He now combines teaching music and further mathematics with work as a recitalist and is in high demand as an accompanist and performance coach for gifted young players. He is the official accompanist at the Richmond and Kingston Music Festivals
Jon studied music in Sheffield with pianist and writer Peter Hill, graduating with first class honours and receiving the Julian Payne and Blake prizes, before moving to London and completing a Master's degree in Music at King's College. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music.
